Eco Friendly Marmoleum for Better View Eye Clinic at Westfield Shopping Centre

PDQ Contract Flooring recently completed a stunning flooring project at the Betterview Eye Clinic, located in the bustling Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherds Bush. The clinic needed a flooring solution that reflected its clean, professional environment while standing up to heavy foot traffic. PDQ delivered a seamless blend of style and durability across multiple areas within the clinic.

Marmoleum for Consulting Rooms, Corridors and Waiting Area

The consulting rooms, laser room, and corridors were outfitted with Forbo Marmoleum Walton flooring in the Titanium colorway. This natural, durable material provides a clean and modern look that complements the clinic's overall aesthetic. Marmoleum was chosen not only for its elegant appearance but also for its sustainable credentials.

Floor Preparation and Installation Process

Before the Marmoleum was laid, the floors underwent rigorous preparation to ensure a flawless finish. PDQ used Mapei Renovation screed along with 6mm plywood to smooth out any imperfections. F Ball F54 adhesive was used to secure the Marmoleum in place, ensuring a strong, long-lasting bond between the floor and the surface below.

A Screed Finish for the Reception Area

In the front reception area, the flooring needed to make a bold, professional statement. PDQ installed a Mapei UltraTop Light Grey screed finish, which not only provides an eye-catching modern aesthetic but is also highly durable. A Mapefloor finish 59w was applied to ensure the screed would withstand heavy use, offering a robust, low-maintenance solution that aligns perfectly with the clinic's high standards.
